HAPPY BIRTHDAY today to Caleb Fergurson, and tomorrow to Kristen Barnhart!
Both JV and Varsity girls played hard against Carrrollton last night, but both teams lost. The Varsity went 3 sets with Mackenzie Lemons leading the team with 10 attacks and 4 kills. Lorren Newingham was second with 8 attacks. Danae Miller led the team with serves with 13 and 2 aces. GREAT JOB, GIRLS!!! GOOD LUCK to the varsity team tomorrow at the Quincy Tournament!!
Look for new royalty in the Fall Festival Parade tomorrow…Jessica Jones, Vin Fiz Queen, Hannah Eddington – 1st runner-up and Miss Photogenic, and Nikki Shewmake – 2nd runner-up and Miss Congeniality. Also, Ashlan Riess, Fall Festival Queen and Miss Photogenic, Addie Welbourne – 1st runner-up, and Andrea Long – Miss Congeniality. CONGRATULATIONS, LADIES!!
The library is closed today. No one is allowed in the library today. The checkout system isn’t working.
Sophomore class officers need to stop by and talk to Mrs. Gerard before 4th block today.
Student Council members: Be ready to give committee reports on Tuesday during the meeting.
Girl basketball players will have a meeting Tuesday, September 7, 2010, in the cafeteria during homeroom. Please plan on attending. If you cannot attend, please contact Coach Heafner.
The following students need to see Mrs. Greger TODAY: Daniel Grote, Jodi Hoover, Faith Hoffman, Taylor Kattelman, Cody Kindle, Nick Kattelman, and Austin McCartney. Also, anyone interested in a lifeguarding class should see Mrs. Greger ASAP.
The marching band, flags, and Saukettes will have practice during homeroom today.
GOOD LUCK to the football Saukees as they take on the Monmouth-Roseville Titans at home tonight! Freshman game at 5:30; Varsity game at 7:00. The football parents will host a cookout starting at 4:30. Come out and support the Saukees tonight!! GOOD LUCK to the cross-country team as they compete at the Rochester Invitational tomorrow!
Non-school announcement: The Pittsfield First Christian Church high school youth group will host a 5th Quarter Party tonight at the Crossroads Center. The party will begin immediately following the Saukee football game and conclude at 10:45. Music will be provided by DJ Tim Bradshaw. Admission is $3, which also includes soda. Doors are open to all Pike County high school students. Thank you Casteel Color Wheel for sponsoring this event!
Non-school announcement: Any girl living in or near Milton, Time, Detroit, or Pearl is eligible to enter the Milton Corn Carnival Queen Contest. If you are interested, please contact Kayley at 217-779-9091, or Hillary at 217-473-8823.
