South School students enjoyed a Mad Science Assembly last week! They learned about making a hypothesis when working with the elements of fire, air, and water and were able to participate in several experiments.

South School is having a Sports Day on Friday, February 7. For $.50 students can wear their favorite sports gear with proceeds benefitting the Pittsfield D.A.R.E. program!

Some of our Little Braves got to enjoy the snow last week and a few even helped get the sidewalks clear for their friends!❄️❄️
South School's January Safety 17
K-2 students at South School had PBIS Reboot lessons on Monday. These lessons helped students review the Cool Tools for the bus, morning and afternoon school pick up, bathroom, hallway, recess, and cafeteria. Activities included playing Jeopardy, naming kind acts, getting on a school bus to practice safe seating, and interacting with videos that reinforced the Cool Tools. Thank you to those staff members who put together the lessons and to the K-2 students who did a fantastic job during the lessons!

Merry Christmas to all of our South School Little Braves and their families!
Part of the holiday fun in December was the first grade classes decorating Gingerbread houses.
Mrs. Groom's class would like to thank the Little Braves Boosters for providing a delicious pizza snack earlier this week. The students in Mrs. Groom's class donated the most items during the PHS Student Council Food Drive and this was their reward!
