ATTENTION - PHS Seniors & Senior Parents
The 2025-26 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) was recently released. The PHS Guidance Office has scheduled a FAFSA Completion Night for parents and students on January 22, 2025, at 6:00 pm to assist students and families. Mrs. Boren and an Illinois Student Assistance Commission representative will staff the event. We will help troubleshoot any issues that may arise in the process. We will also answer questions about financial aid packaging, college costs, and Federal Student Aid (including Pell Grants, Federal Loans, Work Study, and other resources). Please note that this event is not mandatory, but it is highly encouraged.
The first step to filing the FAFSA is to create an FSA ID at www.studentaid.gov. Parents and students need to create FSA IDs. Most seniors already completed this step during Saukee Academy in November. If you plan to attend FAFSA Completion Night, please create your FSA ID by 1/18/25, as it takes up to 3 days to verify your account.
